Effective Marketing on a Shoestring Budget

Effective marketing can make the difference between an average sales year and a great one. However, planning a marketing campaign can be a daunting task, especially when promotional dollars are scarce. This course provides planning tools that work on anyone’s budget. March 19th and 20th
OSHA 10 hour Construction Industry Training

The 10-hour program is intended to provide a variety of construction safety and health training. Training will emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card. April 2nd
Complying with the New Georgia Energy Code

The NEW Georgia Energy Code took effect on January 1, 2008. Learn how to comply with the residential requirements of the new code by taking one of these four-hour workshops. April 15th
Green Building Lunch ‘n Learn

Learn how green homes provide buyers with lower energy costs and higher value. Techniques are also discussed for competitively differentiating your home products with increased indoor environmental quality as well as energy and resource efficiency. 12:00 – 1:00. Builder Licensing Residential-Basic Exam Prep Course

May 7th
CPR/First Aid

Upon successful completion, the student receives a 2 year certification card. 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. $55

New Homeowner Education Class

"Your new home and how to take care of it." This class provides home buyers with tips on maintenance to help keep their new home performing at its peak. Checklists and an organizational folder will be provided to attendees so they can note maintenance dates and maintain other necessary records. $5/person or couple.

August 11th and 12th
Lifestyle Merchandising, Advertising and Promotion Strategies

This course offers you an array of advertising, public relations and marketing ideas, including the design of models and sales centers that appeal to a target market, optimize traffic flow and impress prospective customers. Approved for GREC. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. $350

Fall Prevention Training

October Time To Be Announced
Building your Business with Builder Relationships

This course is for our associate members that wish to take their business to the next level by developing trusting relationships with other builders. Date, time, and location will be announced.

November 5th
Erosion & Sediment Control Subcontractor Awareness Seminar

Required for individuals involved in land disturbing activities working in a subcontractor capacity. However, if you have already completed the Level 1A Certification, this class is not required. November 5th
Erosion & Sediment Control Level 1A Recertification Course

Four hours of continuing education is required every 3 years to maintain your Level 1A Certification. $55 for Members and Non-members.  Time and Location to be announced.

November 12th
Profitable Business through Quality Practices (8 hours)

This course will teach you key strategies for creating value and providing a quality building/remodeling experience for your homeowners. Topics include meeting the quality challenge with customers, with competitors, and within your company. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. $175

Registration begins 30 min before each class. Registration Fees for non-HBA members are an additional $25.
